AERCON

AERCON - Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) - The World's Most Perfect Building Material

AERCON is not only the name of a company but also the name of a product that is changing the future of industrial, commercial and residential development in the United States.

AUTOCLAVED AERATED CONCRETE (AAC)

Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) has been used throughout the world for decades; however, AERCON buildings have been constructed in the United States with minimal national awareness.

With an impressive list of benefits that includes superior fire protection, acoustic and thermal insulation, versatility, durability, and being lightweight, along with reduced construction time and labor costs, AERCON offers an innovative building material for the next generation.

AUTOCLAVED AERATED CONCRETE (AAC) HISTORY

The first AAC product was developed and patented in Sweden in 1924 by an architect. In September 2002, AERCON Florida purchased the AAC production facility in Haines City, Florida. The facility began operations under AERCON Florida in December 2002.

Currently, AERCON is one of four producers of AAC in the United States. The AERCON Florida production facility is highly regarded within the AAC industry due to its commitment to developing quality products while providing extensive technical support to the professionals that utilize this building material.

AUTOCLAVED AERATED CONCRETE (AAC) BENEFITS

Exceptional fire resistance and thermal insulation are just two of the distinct benefits associated with AERCON. The benefits of this product range from material properties to flexibility of construction methods. Over the past 70 years, the AAC building system has proven itself to be a high quality product and process for the next generation. AERCON's list of benefits provides industry professionals with an attractive alternative to traditional building materials.

Fire resistance / non-combustible: AERCON has the highest UL fire rating in the construction industry. Being non-combustible, it will help prevent the spread of fire. No toxic gases are emitted when it is exposed to fire.

Superior thermal insulation: AERCON products have a very low thermal conductivity and excellent thermal mass. This combination of inherent thermal efficiency means that, in most applications, no additional insulation is required.

Excellent acoustic insulation: the AERCON block or panel has a sound insulation value of 7dB greater than other material of the same weight per surface area.

Lightweight: AERCON material weighs as little as one-fifth the amount of concrete. The reduced weight promotes lower injury risks in work environments, lower freight costs and smaller foundations.

Durable: AERCON is suitable for applications in both hot and cold climates and has proven to be very secure for hurricane-prone areas.

Design versatility and flexibility: due to the production process, AERCON blocks have an excellent workability. The blocks can be sawed, drilled, nailed and milled. Adjustments can be easily made during construction.

Termite and pest resistant: the materials used to produce AERCON do not provide any voids for insects and pests to nest. Termites will not attack AERCON products.

Reduced time and labor costs: the lightweight feature of AERCON blocks and panels significantly decreases installation time. In most cases, an experienced four-man team with a crane can install a panel in 4-6 minutes. Additional time is saved because there is no need for furring, insulation or drywall.

Environmentally friendly: AERCON is made from sand, lime, cement, water and a rising agent. It does not generate pollutants or hazardous wastes.

AERCON FLORIDA: THE INNOVATIVE BUILDING MATERIAL COMPANY

AERCON Florida is a Delaware limited liability company that was established July 19, 2002. It is an affiliate of AERCON Industries LLC, an Indiana-based company established on April 30, 2002. AERCON Industries is a privately held company.

The principal business of AERCON Florida is to manufacture AAC building products. AAC is a masonry product manufactured through a process that combines sand, cement, lime and water. These products are made in various sizes as reinforced panels or block and used in the construction of wall, floor and roof systems.
