Addagrip Surface Treatments - Antibacterial Epoxy-Resin Floor Coatings and Resin-Bonded Surface Systems

Addagrip Surface Treatments is a UK-based resin manufacturing and formulating company. Founded in 1980, we established ourselves as a leading industrial flooring contractor formulating a range of high-quality products to meet industry requirements. In 1986 we ceased contracting in order to concentrate on manufacturing and focus on supplying our products and servicing the needs of our customers.

Epoxy-resin floor products

Our diverse product range currently includes:

Silver ion anti-bacterial technology for anti-slip and decorative resin floor coatings

Addagrip seamless resin coatings, and anti-slip and decorative floor finishes incorporating BioCote® silver ion technology provide an effective part of the solution in the fight against the ‘superbug’ MRSA and other healthcare associated infections. When used in food or catering environments the antimicrobial floor finish offers protection against bacteria such as E.coli and Salmonella.

Addagrip is the first company to supply flooring systems incorporating BioCote® silver ion technology, giving its epoxy floor coatings, decorative finishes and self smoothing screeds continuous built in protection. BioCote® will not leach from the surface, and nor can it be wiped off or washed away. Therefore it lasts for the lifetime of the floor.

Addagrip floor finishes incorporating BioCote® are installed through a network of contractors throughout the UK, or can be sold direct for DIY application.

Products that incorporate BioCote® include:

• EP Addaflor - a high-build epoxy coating applied by roller at a typical thickness of 300µ to 500µ; an anti-slip texture can be achieved if required
• EP Addalevel SL2K - a self-smoothing screed providing a smooth, seamless, flow applied flooring system applied at a depth of 2mm upwards in a wide range of colours
• EP Addagrip DECO - a textured coloured quartz floor finish providing a smooth yet lightly textured surface at a depth of 2mm - 4mm

Further products incorporating BioCote® will be released toward the end of 2009.

Resin-bonded surfacing systems

The Addastone resin-bonded surfacing system provides an attractive, hard wearing, low maintenance surface by bonding or fixing loose gravel aggregates to concrete, asphalt, wood or metal. Aggregates bonded with resin to a surface give the appearance of loose gravel without the many maintenance problems.

A wide range of natural and recycled aggregates can be resin bonded to a variety of surfaces making the system ideal for heritage sites, landscaping schemes, parks, paths, driveways, roads and visitor attractions that want the look of loose stone but the convenience of fixed paving.

The Addaset resin-bound surfacing system provides a smooth, contemporary, attractive, hard wearing, low maintenance, porous/semi porous surface using a range of natural and recycled aggregates and recycled glass. The finished surface is a seamless bound paving system which is flexible and resistant to cracking.
