KAMI Metal Roof Products Featured in Two Large International Projects

13 September 2007

With exceptional durability and remarkable appearance, the high quality metal roofing products from KAMI, a Lafarge Roofing company, were selected for two premier building projects from two international construction companies.

NIGERIA - TINAPA SHOPPING MALL
Construction: Julius Berger Nigeria PLC, a subsidiary of Bilfinger Berger Nigeria GmbH.

10,600m² of KAMI PlusPLEGEL metal roof sheets were chosen to cover several shopping areas of Nigeria's largest shopping mall, which had its grand opening in spring 2007. PlusPLEGEL, a 0.5mm-thick double-coated steel roof product, was chosen for this project because of its light weight and high durability, and its feasibility for hassle-free, quick roof construction. Available in seven colours and two profiles, and with the appearance of a traditional tile roof, KAMI PlusPLEGEL also allowed broad creative opportunities for project designers.

CUBA – SOL MELIÁ RESORTS
Construction: Bouygues Batiment International.

Since 1999, KAMI metal roof products have been the preferred choice for several hotel and resort projects in Cuba, including the Sol Meliá and Tryp hotels, with the most recent project still under way. The KAMI TerraPLEGEL product has proven to be an excellent choice for these projects due to its phenomenal weather performance. With a 0.5mm steel thickness, TerraPLEGEL metal roof sheets are highly durable and are even guaranteed against 200km/hr winds. This, combined with a double coating of polyester, and a layer of sand and topcoat make TerraPLEGEL the ultimate choice for protection against both UV-rays and salt.
Because of its attractive rooftop appearance, TerraPLEGEL complements the architectural aspects of these four and five star Caribbean resorts perfectly.
