MacLeod Resources quarries its unique and ancient varieties of red and blue-grey marbles in River Denys, on the island of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Branded as Canada’s Marble, our company offers a complete range of natural stone products, blocks, slabs, tiles and custom cuts.

Through many years of metamorphosis involving an overwhelming amount of heat and pressure, Canada’s Marble has emerged as the image of eternity. Our new quarry in the mountains of eastern Canada produces a product that is internationally recognized as one of the finest red marbles in the world.

MARBLE WITH INTRICATE VEINING AND PATTERNS

The six varieties of Canada’s Marble are:

• Cape Breton Bordeaux – our signature product is a deep red marble with remarkable patterns and movement
• Highland Heart
• Pynk Floyd - a unique combination of rose pink, light blue and yellow
• Mountain Rose - a unique blend of greys, blues and reds in slabs renowned for their movement and diamond matching opportunities
• Cape Breton Midnight - a deep, complex blue / grey marble containing fossilized algal columns
• Cape Breton Midnight with Dark Eyes

All six are available in finished slabs, countertops, vanities, tiles, and cut-to-size products.

VEINED AND COLOURED MARBLE

Canada’s Marble is quarried in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, in a pre-Cambrian aged deposit that gives our stone hardness, low absorbency rates and an amazing veining structure with depth of light and colour.

The structure of our marble is never simple, and it often exhibits unique breccias and art, like blends of colour and form. The crystalline structure takes a glossy, mirrored finish, with readings above 100 on the gloss meter scale. At the same time, the complex mineral structure is the ideal canvas for beautiful antique or brushed finishes.

MARBLE SLABS AND MARBLE TILES

MacLeod Resources uses the emerging stone working technologies to deliver high-quality marble products to customers across North America and throughout the world. Slabs are inventoried in Canada and Italy, and featured in showrooms for customers around the world.

We also offer matching tiles or other cut-to-size products upon request. Large or complex orders for international destinations are fabricated through our network of agents and processors in Carrara, Italy.
