Students Create Innovative Glass Partitions Using DIP-Tech's Inkjet-on-Glass Technology

Students at Israel's Shenkar College of Engineering and Design have used inkjet-on-glass technology by DIP-Tech to create functional and beautiful glass partitions.

Six graduating students of interior design were confronted with the task of creating a functional design on glass using new inkjet-on-glass technology. The result was six dynamic designs ranging from a two-panel, three-color glass design using color-based temperature variations creating a sensory environment for the blind to a multimedia presentation of a printed image of a tree, moving through the seasons via a computer-generated graphic.

Architect Galit Shiff, an adjunct professor in the College's Interior Building and Environmental Design Department has recently taught a capstone course to a class of six graduating seniors about functional design on glass. The outcome was a permanent exhibit of the students' work in the lobby of the college as well as the experience of seeing their designs become reality.
