Acoustiblok offers a unique, easy-to-use soundproofing material to reduce sound transmission that is UL-approved for walls, ceiling and floor assemblies. For over seven years, eliminating noise has been the prime objective of Acoustiblok's technical staff. We offer solutions to numerous noise abatement problems. From hotels, high-rise office buildings, hospitals and recording studios through airports, train stations, and shopping centers to power generators, condominiums and villas, Acoustiblok is an effective material for sound abatement. FLEXIBLE AND DENSE SOUND ABATEMENT MATERIALSThe problem of sound abatement in buildings, hotels and condominiums is rarely addressed properly. Adding more layers of drywall or plasterboard and insulation not only squanders useable space, but also provides a mechanical connection for sound transmission. Acoustiblok is flexible as well as dense. It allows the material to vibrate as it absorbs sound. When Acoustiblok is properly installed on a standard stud wall, the sound reduction ranges from 27dB to 63dB throughout the frequency ranges (STC 53). Simple wall assemblies with Acoustiblok installed have STC ratings from 52 to 66. Further more, installing Acoustiblok over the floor joist or on top of the concrete slab before the finished floor is installed can significantly reduce impact sound between floors. IIC ratings begin at 51. Tile or wood floors installed over an Acoustiblok floor assembly can now meet the new standard requirement of an IIC 50 rating. ALL-WEATHER SOUND ABSORBING AND SOUND BLOCKING PANELSTrain stations, railroad diesel shops, metal fabricating plants, and power generating plants must meet OSHA noise level standards. Noise levels at these places are often over 135dB. Acoustiblok offers not only the dense, flexible material, but also all-weather sound panels that incorporate the dense material into the panel assembly. The panels have a NRC rating of 1.00. Not only are these panels sound absorbing, they block sound as well. These all-weather sound panels are rigid (18 gauge stainless steel frames) and self-supporting. They can be used as building blocks to permanently or temporarily enclose a noise source (HVAC chiller or machinery). Both products can be incorporated into a building or enclosure to significantly reduce industrial noise. ACOUSTIBLOK - A FIRST CLASS SOUND ABATEMENT PRODUCTOur commitment to customer service and technical support sets us apart.
