atwork are the UK agents for AVC, a Belgian aluminium manufacturer that makes stairs, doors, walls and lightwalls. We can confidently provide you with feature walls and screens for your projects. We have very few constraints with the aluminium profiles that form the structure of these walls, which can be clad in any number of finishes. Almost any size is possible and all products are made to order.

ALUMINIUM STAIRCASE SYSTEMS

AVC is the reference for innovative staircase systems in aluminium. After the realisation of a self-supporting set of stairs, new successful systems were developed:

• Concorde: airplane-wing formed steps
• Triangle: triangular steps on central supports
• Starlight: a neat staircase with possible insertion of various light systems

The most state-of-the-art concept is the Solitaire: a totally new technology with a single lit wall-mounted support with cantilevered treads.

All systems are remarkable by their simplicity and their contemporary design. The results are light, transparent and elegant staircases that are very resistant, scratchproof and easy to clean.

ALUMINIUM ANODISED DOORS

AVC doors are made out of an aluminium anodised frame with horizontal divisions - both sides covered in glass, Plexiglas, plastic, aluminium or timber. Lighting can also be inserted. All doors are made to measure (height, width, size of partitions). It is also possible to combine, nearly invisibly, AVC doors with a design AVC wall - with partitions aligned for both products.

Two types of doors are available:

• Pivoting doors (with or without floor spring)
• Sliding doors with a silent top hung rail system

WALL SYSTEMS

AVC has developed several innovative wall systems including a modular system (with endless combinations) and a system with panels. Both can be used as separation wall, walls combined with doors, illuminated walls, publicity walls, ceilings or walls with an inserted open fire. These wall systems work well in private and public areas; they are suitable for private homes as well as being ideal for shops, offices, showrooms, public areas etc.

The AVC range includes three different systems - Modules, Monovolume and Microvolume.

The AVC Modules system consists of modular elements with an extremely thin separation strip. This system is easy and quick to assemble due to the AVC clip system. It is available in thicknesses of 150mm or 47mm, each one in adaptable length and width. Freestanding walls can be provided with small or larger wheels.

AVC Monovolume is available in a thickness of 47mm. This system is made out of a frame with very thin separation lines and adaptable height or width. AVC Microvolume, which comes in a thickness of 21mm, is only to be used as Japanese soft panel.

Each one of these wall systems can be covered with various materials such as glass, Plexiglas, synthetic materials, timber or aluminium plates.

AVC’s products are different from their competitors in that they have no standard sizes but atwork have the ability to assist with design. Our design team acts as back-up to your own team, passing on our experience of planning using these innovative products.
