Sound in a room spreads in all directions and reflects completely or partially off the surfaces. If a room resounds too much, the reverberation time has to be cut back by absorptive measures adapted to the room requirements. Swiss-based interior technicians BASWA have researched and designed a leading range of acoustic systems which fully dictate and control how sound affects an interior space, whilst remaining aesthetically flexible enough to be incorporated into the most diverse of interior design concepts. Acoustic absorption systemsBASWA's acoustic systems comprise a micro-porous surface plaster which is applied onto absorbent mineral wool, allowing for the production flat and joint-free surfaces characterised by excellent absorption qualities within a broad range of frequencies. Since the surface plaster is smoothed off by hand at the end, it is possible to implement the technology on straight, right-angled surfaces and also irregularly curved or compound curved surfaces. Due to this fact, BASWA technology does not oppose the architects' creative powers, and it is for this reason that architects like to use BASWA technologies to produce rooms with extraordinary charisma. Integrated interior acoustic systemThe BASWAphon acoustic absorption system consists of pre-coated 30mm-65mm mineral supporting panels which are first glued to the ceiling. A 2.5mm-3.5mm layer of mineral plaster is then applied in two stages to the object in question. After a final smoothing with a special plasterer's float, the surface takes on the appearance of a smooth plaster finish. The result is a combination of exceptional acoustic absorption with a pleasing visual aesthetic. The fact that BASWAphon is indistinguishable from a conventional plaster finish means that it can be decorated to conform to the overall design concept of an interior. The system is suitable for level surfaces such as ceilings and floors, arched and vaulted surfaces and double-curved surfaces. Acoustic absorption with limitless design applicationsBASWA's many properties provide architects and acousticians with new, limitless design possibilities. These characteristics include:
