Danish-based Boel Jensen Interiør develops interior furniture which incorporates the two fundamental axioms of Scandinavian design – aesthetic appeal and functionality. In 2004 Boel Jensen joined forces with leading designers Thomas E Alken and Andreas Lund from the trendsetting Format design studio with a view to creating high quality interior furniture which would lead the way in terms of aesthetic appeal and visual style, as well as functionality. From this union the innovative Melon range was born.

MELON HIGH AND LOW-BACKED EASY CHAIRS

Boel Jensen’s Melon range of high and low-backed interior easy chairs dynamically incorporates a synergetic fusion of ultra-stylish Danish aesthetic design concept with solid workmanship, producing a chair which is both functional and visually appealing.

The Melon range is a series of elegant easy chairs characterized by exceptional quality, functionality and an elegant and timeless Danish design. This furniture was developed for both private and public spaces where extremely heavy demands are made on strength, design and function. A simple and ergonomic design makes the Melon range an obvious choice for any interior, whether modern or classic, private residence or bustling public area.

Melon chairs are available in a high and low-back design, and also as a footstool. The range features a conical, hand-lathed base made from brushed chromium and is available fully upholstered in fabric or in the best full grain, aniline tanned ox hide. The range can also be upholstered in a wide variety of colours and fabrics. The moulded shells of the chairs complete the stylish aesthetic, slightly separated by spacers in burnished steel.

MELON GLASS AND CHROMIUM TABLES

Boel Jensen has recently expanded their leading Melon series of interior furniture to include a range of glass top tables which serve to complement the Melon high and low-back easy chair series. The float glass tables feature an Optiwhite™ top which provides excellent integrity whilst maintaining aesthetic appeal by negating the green tinge present in most clear sheet glass products. In keeping with the Melon range’s visual aesthetic, the tables’ trumpet-shaped bases feature a brushed chromium finish.

The glass tables combine with Melon easy chairs to complete a stylish and functional interior furniture set that is perfect for almost any environment.
