Hoebeek, founded in Belgium in 1904, is one of the largest timber machining and pre-finishing companies in Benelux. Hoebeek was the very first company in Belgium to obtain SGS Chain of Custody to supply FSC certified timber products. Hoebeek is well known for its high quality standards and its ability to innovate.

MICROWAVE TECHNOLOGY TO PREVENT WOOD FROM WOOD BEETLE

As a large-scale manufacturer of solid timber flooring, the Hoebeek range is near endless. European oak is by far the most popular species, and is available in a choice of grades, thicknesses, widths and finishes. Waveguard, a fully patented system developed with assistance from the Hoebeek factory, is based on microwave technology.

When this product is applied to any species of timber susceptible to attack by wood beetle it guarantees that no live woodworm survive the process - European oak is particularly susceptible to attack by the lictus beetle. Hoebeek stamp each board with 'WG' to show that the boards have been treated.

GLUELESS SYSTEM FOR SOLID TIMBER FLOORING

Clipandclick was patented by Hoebeek as a glueless system for solid timber flooring. High tensile steel clips are fitted to the underside of the boards, holding them firmly together.

Hoebeek offers many other species of both softwood and hardwood within their flooring range and is often called on to source and supply unusual choices of timber for specification work.

TIMBER FLOORING FOR USE OVER UNDERFLOOR HEATING

Hoebeek, unlike many of their competitors, recommend their solid timber flooring for use over underfloor heating. This is possible due to their policy of pre-planning, opening up the pores of each board and leaving them for two to three weeks to stabilise before finally planning and profiling the boards, thus rendering them far more stable than most.

SOLID TIMBER INTERNAL WALL AND CEILING CLADDING

This enormous range still this only represents 40% to 50% of what Hoebeek manufacture. Other ranges include:

• Solid timber internal wall and ceiling cladding such as Bricolux, a range of fully finished T&G four-edged cladding in both softwood and hardwood
• Solid timber external wall and ceiling cladding including T&G four-edged cladding
• Solid timber mouldings in a huge range of species and profiles, all optionally pre-finished. They even manufacture a range of skirting boards with T&G on the ends
• Hoebeek's Hungarian sister company offers solid timber worktops and stair parts in oak and beech
• Using off cuts as a means of reducing waste, Hoebeek also produce finger-jointed profiles which can either be painted or veneered - this allows profiles such as skirting boards to be produced in regular lengths up to 6m, and then optionally pre-finished
• Hoebeek also produce a diverse range of MDF mouldings, skirting boards, architraves and door linings - these can be finished with a choice of foil wrappings or with a real wood veneer and, optionally, pre-finished

Our remaining manufacturing partner, Global Nexus Co. Ltd, is based in China and Taiwan from where they manufacture a highly advanced range of solid timber flooring, engineered flooring and worktops. Included within this range is the brand new, fully patented EASIKLIP range, a glueless system for solid timber flooring where the clips are factory fitted, resulting in installation times being comparable with a click profile laminate floor.
