mFLOR International - Vinyl Floor Coverings

mFLOR vinyl floor coverings combine the best in resilient flooring design innovation with proven manufacturing techniques using the latest technologies for minimum impact on the environment. Heterogeneous vinyl floors by their nature allow for advanced waterless printing which can enable very highly detailed designs to be reproduced, particularly important in the accurate reproduction of wood grains and sawn stone.

Durable vinyl flooring

Vinyl floors can successfully reproduce the appearance of any hard or smooth surface while offering better resistance to wear and a longer life than many, such as wood flooring. The appearance of a vinyl floor can be maintained simply, and without the use of additional chemicals or the application of large amounts of water.

The method of placing individual boards or tiles and replicating the way in which the original materials were put down adds to the feeling, and appearance of a crafted installation.

Surface registered floor designs

mFLOR floors are noted for their extreme closeness to the natural products that they emulate. One method used to achieve this is to cause the embossing of the surface of the resilient flooring to follow the design. While this is a powerful tool in making wood grain designs indistinguishable from the original material, these same techniques are being used with abstract designs to meet the demand for a vocabulary beyond natural materials alone.

High-quality vinyl flooring

As with many types of floorcovering, it is possible to produce products which are initially attractive but whose functionality has been compromised by the use of low quality raw materials or inadequate processes. This leads to instability, lack of durability or worse. mFLOR, however, never compromises quality for cost.

Environmentally friendly floor covering

mFLOR is made according to the ISO 14001 environmental management system. This also contributes to minimise any negative impact in the lifetime of the product on the internal climate.

mFLOR is one of the few PVC-based floor coverings to have met the stringent German AgBB standard for near-zero heavy metal content and very low emissions of volatile organic compounds, which has enabled it to achieve certification by the German Federal Government for use in public buildings – the DIBt standard. mFLOR’s long life through abrasion resistance, and ease of cleaning, adds to the sustainability of the product – also recognised by the DIBt.
