RoomNetTV, the Apple experts in hospitality and leading provider of hotel entertainment and Wi-Fi solutions, is very proud to announce that StayBridge Suites in Vauxhall, London won ‘European Hotelier of the Year’ and ‘Best use of Technology’ awards in the prestigious 2016 European Hospitality Awards.

StayBridge Suites in Vauxhall opened its doors in January 2015 for the first time. As an extended stay brand, the property’s management company Cycas Capital recognised the need for great technology to complete the brand’s ‘home from home’ experience, from the very start.

Cycas engaged RoomNetTV to design and install the network infrastructure, Wi-Fi and guest streaming solution for its new build hotel. The key to the successful streaming solution is the use of RoomNetTV’s Personal Area Network (PAN) technology.

Through the Wi-Fi network, guests devices are placed automatically into a private in-room network which isolates all the guest devices into the same network as in-room devices, such as the Apple TV (in this instance) allowing for seamless and safe streaming to the room’s TV.

This technology also forms the basis of ‘the connected room’, future proofing any IoT needs that hotels may decide to bring to the guest room of the future.

Every room has its own Ruckus in room Wi-Fi access point, guaranteeing great Wi-Fi and a stable content streaming experience for its guests.

Darren King, Chief Executive Officer of RoomNetTV, said "Cycas have always believed that technology should form an important part of the guest experience in its hotels, as demonstrated when it opened its StayBridge Suites in Stratford, just in time for the 2012 Olympic games.

It was the first UK hotel to offer AppleTV in its guest rooms. Such was its success that Cycas decided to use it once more in Vauxhall. I’m very proud of Cycas management for winning these two prestigious awards and for allowing us to be part of their journey."

RoomNetTV specialises in network design, installation and support, with a clear emphasis on the connected room environment.
