Emirates Glass (EGL) is an independent glass processor and a subsidiary of Dubai Investments PJSC. EGL does not belong to any float glass manufacturing group. As an independent processor, EGL offer customers, technical advice, timely delivery, products fully compliant with the international quality standards, competitive prices and flexibility in production plan that cannot be matched by large multi-national companies. The EGL processing facility covers an area of 11,000m² at Al Quoz Industrial Area in Dubai. It is a state-of-the-art factory with equipment supplied by internationally recognized leaders in their respective fields. EGL processes the glass by cutting it to size, heat strengthening or tempering it and thereafter applying solar control and low emissivity coatings through a magnetic vacuum sputtering deposition process, to provide the client with finished glass of their choice of colour and transmissions with corresponding reflective and insulating properties. SOLAR CONTROL PRODUCTS AND LOW EMISSIVITY GLASSThe EGL range includes 11 different colour substrates and 11 different coatings with light transmission ranging from 3% to 40% for solar control glass and 20% to 73% for low emissivity coating. Utilizing state-of-the-art magnetically enhanced vacuum deposition (sputtering) technology from Leybold, Emirates Glass LLC offers the widest variety of high-performance solar control, low emissivity coated glass products available on the market today. Emirates Glass high-performance coated glass products provide building owners, architects and consultants a wide range of thermal performance and aesthetic expression from which to choose. EGL can provide solar control products under brand names EmiCool® with required heat treatment (Emituf®), or in insulated glazed (Emitherm®). EGL provides also low emissivity glasses EmiCool Sun® and EmiCool Plus®. EMICOOL SOLAR-CONTROL COATED GLASSSolar heat gain control, reduced glare and aesthetic color – the performance elements of EmiCool solar-control coated glass. EmiCool coatings provide a reflective barrier to dramatically reduce solar heat gain and visible glare through the glass. The result is lower air-conditioning equipment investment and operational cost. Aesthetically, EmiCool coatings appear transparent from the interior during daylight hours while accenting the exterior of the building. EmiCool coatings are durable layers of metal – thin enough to see through, yet dense enough to restrict heat gain. From bright and highly reflective, to rich and subdued, EmiCool coatings and different type of glass substrates offer endless design colour combination opportunities. Emirates Glass LLC manufactures EmiTuff and EmiSafe glass in a modern 3,300mm x 7,200mm huge horizontal roller-hearth Tamglass furnace. Horizontally heat-treated products are free from tong-marks, but roll distortion is characteristic. In addition to ASTM C 1048-97 all EmiTuff® fully tempered products conform to BS 6206 methods of test for safety glazing materials. For more information, please contact:
