PROTECTIVE INTERLAYERS FOR LAMINATED GLASS

The Saflex protective interlayer is a tough, resilient PVB used in the manufacture of laminated glass. The world’s leading brand of PVB, Saflex protective interlayer, is sandwiched between two or more panes of glass and permanently bonded together under heat and pressure.

The result is laminated glass that provides safety, security, sound control, UV screening, and protection from the effects of both natural and man-made disasters whilst maintaining a structure’s aesthetic appeal.

SAFLEX A SERIES - INCREASING THE ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE OF GLASS

Laminated glass made with Saflex interlayer can reduce irritating outside noise by up to 50%. Saflex AC is a superior acoustical offering that provides a significantly higher level of sound reduction capabilities when compared to standard IGU while providing great dampening performance.

There is no need to increase the overall thickness of the glass or the air space to achieve higher performances for the same configuration. Visual clarity and optical quality are not sacrificed when using Saflex AC interlayer in laminated glass applications. Applications include airports and surrounding structures, hotels, sports stadiums, train stations, high-rise buildings, and educational facilities.

Sterile in appearance, resistant to chemicals, solvents and abrasive cleaning products and easy to maintain, Arctic Snow is particularly suitable for use in hospitals and day-care facilities.
