UK-based company Alto Bollards is one of the leading producers of bollards and access control systems in Europe. Alto produce bollards made from a wide variety of materials, meaning that a range of access control systems can be found to complement almost any environment in terms of aesthetic and visual appeal, whilst the hallmark of excellence inherent in all Alto products ensures functionality and reliability in every situation.

Centurion steel bollards

The steel Centurion bollard is one of Alto’s most popular products, designed for use in modern retail parks, shopping complexes town centres and urban areas where aesthetics are important and traditional cast bollards could look out of place.

Whilst Centurion bollards are generally supplied in black, other BS and RAL colours are available on request to suit individual requirements, confirming the Alto Centurion™ as one of our most versatile bollards.

Centurion bollards are available in diameters of 114mm, 140mm, 168mm and 193mm.

Grenadier steel bollards

The steel Grenadier bollard is Alto’s top-selling product, designed for use in traffic calming schemes for both residential and high-volume traffic areas, where pedestrian safety is imperative.

Finished with Department for Transport (DfT) approved coating, it is supplied as standard with red and Class 1 reflectors. The Grenadier bollard conforms to TRSGD requirements, as well as DfT Traffic Signs Manual Chapter 4 - Warning Signs 1986. This specification ensures a highly visible bollard during both day and night.

Polyurethane bollards

Alto also produce a range of polyurethane elastomer bollards which are manufactured from engineering grade polyurethane cast over a steel core to ensure a strong bollard that will not shatter on impact. This is ideal for ram-raid deterrence, protected parking and pedestrian walkways.

Urethane is the perfect material for urban products: it is strong, durable, lightweight and either low maintenance or totally maintenance free. As polyurethane bollards are non ferrous this means that they will never rust.

Timber bollards

Alto’s range of timber bollards are fully pressure-injection treated to ensure a long life, and can be supplied either as stand alone bollards or part of a rail system. The rails are manufactured from 50mm diameter galvanised-steel tubing that can be used on its own or in conjunction with our Altoshield™ coating system finish in any colour.
