Astrophysics Inc. is in the business of research, development, and manufacturing of x-ray scanning systems that are used for security and NDT. We manufacture standard, automated, and cargo x-ray systems. We offer several different models that suit the purposes of various applications. The performance of our systems exceeds all standard x-ray systems in spatial resolution, wire detection, and non-distorted zoom.

Astrophysics Inc. began in March 2000, under the name of Xaytek Company, doing research and development for the US Government and other x-ray manufacturers.

SMALL PARCEL X-RAY SCREENING SYSTEM: XIS-5335

With a 90kV x-ray generator, a 53cm (21in) wide by 35cm (14in) high tunnel opening, dual-energy imaging, Windows 2000 operating system with a Pentium IV or faster CPU, 19in monitor, UPS and several additional options the XIS-5335 is a PC based system designed and developed for screening small parcels.

SMALL PACKAGE X-RAY SCREENING SYSTEM: XIS-5335S

Similar to the XIS-5335 but with a 160kV x-ray generator is the ideal solution for inspecting small parcels in mail rooms, schools, airports, and commercial applications. Our imaging display system, incorporating a high-resolution x-ray detector array, increases detection sensitivity and resolution and improves image presentation.

PARCEL AND HAND LUGGAGE X-RAY SCREENING SYSTEM: XIS-6545

The XIS-6545 x-ray screening system has a 160kV x-ray generator, a 65cm (25in) wide by 45cm (18in) high tunnel opening, dual-energy imaging, Windows 2000 operating system with a Pentium IV or faster CPU, two 19in monitors, UPS and several optional extras. The system is designed to scan most parcels and hand-carried luggage and clearly view them through its high-resolution display system.

AIRPORT HAND LUGGAGE X-RAY SCREENING SYSTEM: XIS-7858

Comprising a 160kV x-ray generator, a 78cm (30in) wide by 58cm (22in) high tunnel opening, dual-energy imaging, Windows 2000 operating system with a Pentium IV or faster CPU, two 19in monitors and UPS, the XIS-7858 screens hand luggage and has an array of optional features. Images from each XIS-7858 can be sent through the network to a central server where they can be viewed, stored and printed.

LARGE LUGGAGE X-RAY SCREENING SYSTEM: XIS-100X

With a 160 kV x-ray generator, a 1m² (39in²) tunnel opening, dual-energy imaging, Windows 2000 operating system with a Pentium IV or faster CPU, table with control panel and two 19in monitors and UPS, the XIS-100X is designed and developed to be the ideal solution for screening large luggage, parcels and boxes for airport, government, post office and commercial applications.

CARGO X-RAY SCREENING SYSTEM: XIS-1517

Featuring a 160kV or 200kV x-ray generator and a 1.5m (59in) wide by 1.7m (67in) high tunnel opening, the XIS-1517 is the ideal solution for screening palette-size containers in airport cargo applications. The XIS-1517 also features dual-energy imaging, Windows 2000 operating system with a Pentium IV or faster CPU, table with control panel and two 19in monitors, UPS and several additional options.

MOBILE X-RAY SCREENING SYSTEM: XIS-VAN

Using the Ford F-450E van with a XIS-100X x-ray screening system featuring a 160kV generator, 1m² (39in²) tunnel, diesel / gas generator, operator console with table incorporating two 19in monitors and control console, dual-energy imaging, Windows 2000 operating system with a Pentium IV or faster CPU, UPS and an array of accessories, the XIS-Van provides mobile x-ray screening capabilities.

In less than three years we have sold over 1,000 x-ray systems in over 200 countries around the world. We provided x-ray screening systems to the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. Our equipment provides protection for many government buildings, airports, seaports, courthouses, office buildings, jails, prisons, and several other facilities throughout the world.
