The Emirates Glass LEAF Award categories, nominees and winners are:
LEAF Award Winner
Woods Bagot for the Qatar Science and Technology Park in Qatar
The LEAF Award will consist of a shortlist of winners from the other categories and will be presented as the final award of the evening.
Mixed-Use Building of the Year*
EAA-Emre Arolat Architects for 7800 Çesme Residences & Hotel in Turkey
The LEAF Mixed Use Building of the Year award recognises projects that combine both residential and commercial functions. This award is for buildings that have been completed since January 2008 or are due for completion by June 2009.

David Chipperfield Architects for Ninetree Village in China (Multiple Occupancy)
Studio mk27 for Paraty House in Brazil (Single Occupancy)
The LEAF Residential Building of the Year award recognises projects that are specifically used for residential purposes. This award is for buildings that have been completed since January 2008 or are due for completion by June 2009. The judges this year have created two sub categories - Multiple Occupancy and Single Occupancy.

Commercial Building of the Year*

The LEAF Commercial Building of the Year award recognises projects that are specifically used for commercial purposes. These awards are for buildings that have been completed since January 2008 or are due for completion by June 2009.

International Interior Design Award*
ATELIER BRÜCKNER GmbH for BMW Museum in Germany
The LEAF International Interior Design of the Year award focuses on interior design for either a new build project or a refurbishment project completed since January 2008 or are due for completion by June 2009.

Young Architect**
John Pardey Architects for Hind House in the UK
This award celebrates up-and-coming architects. To qualify, architects must have no more than five years of post qualification experience. This is a self-nominating category.

Best Sustainable Development*
Chetwoods Architects for Blue Planet, Chatterley Valley in Ireland
This award focuses on innovation relating to the durable and efficient use of materials and energy consumption in providing a sustainable built environment. Projects can be either new build or refurbishments/redevelopments which have been completed since January 2008 or are due for completion by June 2009.

Strootman Landscape Architects & Palmbout Urban Landscapes for Wieringen Passage in the Netherlands
This award focuses on development into urban areas to create quality living areas, improve access to services and protect the rural areas. These awards are for buildings that have been completed since January 2008 or are due for completion by June 2009.

Public Building*
gpy arquitectos for La Cisnera Community Centre in Spain
The LEAF Public Building of the Year award recognises projects that are specifically used for public purposes and private purposes. These awards are for buildings that have been completed since January 2008 or are due for completion by June 2009

Best Structural Design of the Year*
Amanda Levete Architects for Spencer Dock Bridge in the UK
This award recognises architects that have implemented innovative structural design solutions in projects completed since January 2008 or are due for completion by June 2009.
Shortlist:
* The completion date for submitted projects must be between January 2008 and June 2009.
** Projects must be completed within three years of qualification.
