UK Constructor Sails To 2012 Olympics

07 January 2008

UK-based construction company Dean and Dyball has won a contract to build the sailing facilities for the 2012 Olympic Games.

The company will upgrade facilities at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, Hampshire, in southern England.

The work will include a permanent 150m slipway, race-boat parking area, lifting facilities and moorings.

Work will begin in spring for completion before the end of the year making Weymouth and Portland one of the first venues to be ready for the Games.
