A centre that honours Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier will be set up in Chandigarh, India.
The centre will be located in an office used by the architect to design the city nearly 60 years ago.
It will display the life and works of Le Corbusier and will include a museum section that will recreate the ambience of his original office, used from 1951 to 1965.
The centre will have three sections; the museum, display gallery and research and publication.
It is hoped the centre will allow tourists and future generations to acquaint themselves with the city's past.
Chandigarh, nicknamed 'The City Beautiful', was established in 1966 following India's partition with Pakistan.
