Speer Goes Against Grain with Berlin Olympic Stadium Plan

25 March 2008

Albert Speer Jr has released plans for the rebuilding of a run-down sports complex in Berlin, the same city his father once planned to redesign.

Speer Jr has designed buildings around the world, but has never overcome the stigma of his father - who served 20 years in prison for his role in the Hitler Government - and has never built in his native Germany.

His plans, if approved, could see the Olympic Stadium used in Berlin in 1936 rebuilt for modern use.
