The Irish Architecture Foundation along with Ireland's Department of Environment will hold meetings in eight locations around Ireland to educate people on the country's new architecture policy.
The "Conversations about Architecture and the Built Environment" will allow for public input into the policy, currently under development.
A strong focus will be on approaches to sustainable development and urban design.
Ireland's Minister for Environment, John Gormley, says the policy will endeavour to take into account the "changing nature" of issues relating to the built environment.
A draft on the new Policy on Architecture is planned for autumn this year.
The public meetings will take place from 29 May to 12 June.
