The new University of Technology, Sydney, (UTS) Broadway Building in Australia has moved a step closer with the appointment of Waterman Sydney as the engineering consultant for the building.
The 15-storey building has been designed by Melbourne-based architect Denton Corker Marshall, and is part of the UTS City Campus 2020 master plan.
Waterman will act as the mechanical, electrical and ESD engineering consultant for the 42,000m² project, which will house the UTS Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology.
The building plans to achieve a five-star green rating and aims to deliver energy savings of 30% to 45%, according to architectureanddesign.com.au.
The building is expected to be complete in June 2013.
