Plans Underway for Museum Wing Expansion in Budapest

Plans are underway for the construction of a new underground wing of the Museum of Fine Arts located at Heroes Square in Budapest, Hungary.

The 8,000m² new Heroes Square Visitor and Tourist Centre is estimated to cost 4bn forint ($20m).

Designed by Hungarian architect Tamás Karácsony, the modernised extension centre will feature a lecture hall, a 1,200m² exhibition space and commercial spaces, according to worldarchitecturenews.com.
