The University of Florida in the US has commenced construction on a new data centre on its East Campus.
Being built as a second site for Enterprise Systems, a unit of UF Information Technology, the 15,000ft2 facility will provide human resources, finance, portal, student records and eLearning systems.

In addition, the centre will include a 160-space parking lot and a new high-performance computing centre, which will provide support for academic research computing.
