Construction and regeneration group Morgan Sindall’s subsidiaries have secured two contracts in the UK.
The group’s urban regeneration division, Muse Developments, has been announced as the preferred bidder by Stockport Council for the £145m regeneration of Stockport Grand Central Station.
Muse will be recommended for the contract to Stockport Council’s Executive on 16 December.
The project includes construction of over 200 apartments, a 1,500 space multi-storey car park, a 130-bed hotel, a new office building and remodelling of the existing leisure facilities.
Stockport Council has been looking for a development partner to deliver the ambitious redevelopment since purchasing the site.

By GlobalDataIn addition, Morgan Sindall’s housing division, Lovell, has secured a £103m housing refurbishment contract from Barnet Homes for a period of ten years.
Barnet Homes manages and maintains homes and estates on behalf of Barnet Council.
Morgan Sindall said the project involves planned refurbishment and electrical work across 15,000 homes.
"Lovell’s full service offering will mean we can deliver the highest quality upgrade and response maintenance work to the Barnet Council housing stock," Smith said.
Work on the project is due to commence in April 2012.
