Paradise Valley Community College in Phoenix, Arizona, US, has opened the newly renovated Building Q.

The 69,600ft2, $10.6m renovation and expansion project, designed by SmithGroup, has transformed the Maricopa County George Campbell Library into a multipurpose academic facility.

The new building houses the college’s mathematics department featuring 23 classrooms, areas for testing, faculty offices and support space.

The facility also incorporates the 10,700ft2 Arizona Agribusiness and Equine Center Charter School, a 200-student high school that previously occupied space within the library.
