The $31m Centennial Hall at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, New York, US, has secured LEED Gold certification from the US Green Building Council.
The windows of the facility allow sufficient natural light and also reduce heat loss by providing natural ventilation.

The facility also incorporates a storm water management system which uses rain gardens to essentially eliminate runoff.
The landscaping around the building has also been praised for providing a pedestrian-friendly setting, including an indoor storage and cleaning area for bicycles and limited car parking spaces.
