The Apogee Stadium at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, US, has secured LEED Platinum certification from the US Green Building Council.

The $79m stadium was designed by HKS Sports and Entertainment Group and built by the Manhattan Construction Company.

The 31,000-seat stadium comprises luxury suites, a club floor, a Spirit Store, a corporate deck and an end zone seating zone.

The sustainable elements of the stadium’s design include enhancing the site and its surroundings through the use of natural light, reducing water and energy consumption, promoting sustainable and recycled materials, and improving indoor environmental quality.
