The Berg Oase wellness centre is a health spa linked to the five-star luxury Tschuggen Grand Hotel in the resort village of Arosa.

The suspended glass-encased bridge(the promenade architecturale) connecting the Berg Oase wellness centre with the Tschuggen Hotel.

At night the Berg Oase structure is illuminated to create a magical glow, resembling luminescent leaf sculptures or snowcapped mountain peaks.

The Berg Oase (mountain oasis) provides hotel patrons and external visitors with a tranquil space that recreates the calm and sacredness of the mountain landscape.


Construction on Birmingham's first new hospital for nearly 70 years, part of the Birmingham New Hospitals Project, is due to start in spring 2005.

A 1,246-bed acute teaching hospital is to be built on the 50-acre Queen Elizabeth site; 137 beds, in three separate smaller units, will be constructed on the same site.

The Maggie's Cancer Centre building takes the form of several folds.

The design is a departure from what would normally be seen in this area of the country.

Construction of the building took two years from 2004 to 2006.


Work includes extensive redevelopment of the existing facility creating a single unified hospital.

The interior breaks from traditional lab designs in a number of ways.

Queen Mary College's School of Medicine and Dentistry has opened a new building in Whitechapel, east London: a three-storey pavilion containing offices, research labs, seminar rooms and write-up areas.

The Mushroom pod functions as a relaxation zone, providing a welcome break from the lab and write-up areas.

The Centre of the Cell will be equipped as an interactive learning facility for local school children.

Traditionally, scientist groups work in separate areas. The flexible units we have created encourage a more communicative way of using work space.

The state-of-the-art lecture hall is the largest on campus so is used by other faculties.
