Aluminium cladding can radically transform the appearance of a building, converting it from a pile of bricks and mortar into a landmark piece of architecture. From façade applications and coating systems to corrugated sheets and rolling shutters, Elval Colour provides high-quality one-stop solutions for all of its customers’ aluminium needs.
The company has provided materials for landscape-defining buildings. ELVAL ENF™ aluminium sheets were used in the construction of Romania’s Mercur Centre shopping mall, orofe® aluminium strips for roofing systems employed in Singapore’s iconic Marina Bay Project and the industry-defining etalbond® aluminium composite panels used in developments such as the Mauritius Commercial Bank and Glasgow’s Royal Hospital for Children.
Elval Colour commercial director Spyros Katopodis said: “More than 98% of the company’s sales revenue comes from exporting our goods to a total of 70 countries. We produce and sell more than 60M m2 of coated aluminium surface for building applications. This gives an unparalleled level of experience.”
A subsidiary of the ELVAL Group, Elval Colour has been leading the way in the aluminium processing industry since its establishment in 1977. The company has two Greek manufacturing sites employing 200 people, and from there exports throughout Europe and the rest of the world, reaching clients in more than 70 countries.
Elval Colour assists in the selection process alongside its customers to help them find the products which best suit their project, and is able to meet the complete range of building envelope requirements.
Elval Colour is vertically integrated in every aspect of the design process – providing expertise in casting, rolling, coating and lamination. It knows the molten metal origin for every aluminium panel it supplies. These panels are highly durable, and will last any architectural development for many years to come.
Elval Colour aluminium solutions are compliant with strict health and safety regulations
The coatings are also free from known and possible carcinogenics such as chrome, lead and isophorone. This keeps them compliant with the strictest health, safety and environmental regulations.
The top layer of coating of Elval Colour’s aluminium products for interiors can also be coated in silver ions which provide an antibacterial function by capturing and trapping bacteria.
Also useful for crowded indoor spaces such as conference rooms and corridors, many Elval Colour products can be manufactured with a highly durable polyurethane coating that glows in the dark. This can provided added safety in the event of a power cut.
Skilled construction personnel are able to apply these coatings in a wide range of colours and modern styles, providing a superior aesthetic choice for designers. With a wide range of both vibrant and conservative shades to choose from, the solid colours of products like etalbond® and orofe® integrate seamlessly into the structure of a building.
The aluminium products from Elval Colour are available in a vast range of colours and textures
The cladding colours are available in the Premium Metallic and Dual/Prismatic ranges, which include corten steel, patintated copper, plus marble, granite and wood imitations. These elements of nature and their textures inspired the Ceramic/TX line, which creates a special structured effect. Changing light conditions and perspectives give these elegant textures colours a glowing, vivid appearance.
Elval Colour also provides a special treatment called Agraphon®, a high-quality nano-technology based coating that disallows the bonding of spray paint to the surface and makes graffiti easy to remove.
