That was the starting point from where Glazing Vision have opened their first European offices in the heart of Paris headed up by Jean-Baptiste Disashi, the company’s dedicated Directeur de Dévelopement, France.

This not only represents a significant financial commitment by Glazing Vision but it also acknowledges the company’s belief in the importance of the French construction market to their wider expansion strategy.

One of the first projects undertaken was to work with a firm of French architects; Agence d’architecture Jean luc Bras, who had been commissioned to create a stylish and modern private residence in the Neuilly-sur-Seine quarter of Paris, and where the maximum use of natural light was an important criterion of the design. In particular, there was a requirement to harness light from the roof all the way through the building and down into the basement.

The solution was to manufacture a fixed Flushglaze rooflight, measuring 2970mm x 2245mm, to be installed into the roof and then fit a ‘walk on’ rooflight into the ground floor, aligned under the first installation, to funnel natural light into the ground floor area and thence the basement below. The Flushglaze range was specifically chosen for its’ innovative design that delivers maximum daylight combined with high energy efficiency.

The architects had previously spoken to many other rooflight suppliers but none could match their practical need so exactly nor fulfil the aesthetic detail so precisely.

In addition to providing a direct and local point of contact for French architects, specificers and builders, the further establishment of an International Sales Department has given Glazing Vision the resources and flexibility to respond to enquiries from both the wider European Community and other international markets.

Speaking about this new enterprise, Jean-Baptiste said “I am very excited to be managing the entry of a company into a new market, we knew it would mean a great deal of hard work but I believe we are ready for this challenge and I know that Glazing Vision can match the passion, style and flair of the most discerning of my countrymen!”

All Glazing Vision units are designed, engineered and manufactured at the company’s own production plant in Suffolk, England and each is pre-assembled and tested prior to being shipped to any global destination.

Strong design skills, based on solid engineering and manufacturing principles, have ensured that Glazing Vision consistently develop products that satisfy the demand for minimal framework, concealed operating mechanisms and, crucially, no internally visible framework – all of which are prerequisites throughout the Glazing Vision product range. From this very committed operating base the company is able to maintain both the capability and capacity to expand their international profile whilst continuing to deliver unrivalled customer service to their domestic market.
