Timber Expo

Lonza Wood Protection will be exhibiting at the second Timber Expo event this September. The UK’s only dedicated timber exhibition will be held at Coventry’s award-winning Ricoh Arena on the 25 and 26 September and, once more, promises to be one of the highlights of the 2012 construction and fencing calendar.

The show, backed by TRADA Technology, aims to raise the profile of timber technologies by gathering together innovative companies, timber commentators and industry leaders from across the sector. It also promises to link suppliers with specifiers and end-users.

Last year’s show was hailed as an outstanding success by many within the industry with more than 4,000 visitors, including specifiers, engineers, contractors and local authorities, attending the two-day event.

Timber Expo organisers have announced that this year’s event will be double the size of the 2011 show, with more than 200 companies exhibiting in 6,000m² arena, and promises to be the largest collection of timber technologies ever seen in the UK. Not only will the 2012 event provide a forum for new business and a demonstration of how timber can deliver an effective, more attractive and sustainable built environment, it will also be complemented by a series of exciting ‘timber talk’ seminars.

As gold sponsors of the event, Lonza Wood Protection will use Timber Expo to exhibit its latest product innovations in particular, its next generation Tanalith E formulation, which was launched earlier this month. Customers and specifiers are invited to meet with the Lonza Wood Protection team at stand G10 to discuss Lonza’s Tanalith E, our wider portfolio of preservative products, specifications, projects and fire retardants.

Lonza customers and industry experts are also invited to attend a next generation tanalised timber celebration event to be held at the Ricoh Arena on the Monday evening prior to the exhibition. England cricketers Phil Tufnell and Ed Giddins have recently been confirmed as special guests at the gathering on Monday 24th September.
