Brintons carpets has embraced the very latest technology to launch a brand-new online design program that will allow interior designers to access, customise colouration, view in a room, request a sample and print any of more than 100,000 cutting edge designs.

Brintons, the world leader in the design and manufacture of Axminster carpet, has taken the decision to invest in an interactive design program after surveying a number of its existing and potential customers to assess their requirements in today’s interior design marketplace.

The desire to have round-the-clock access to inspirational online design material emerged as the number one request for 2010 and has been the catalyst behind Brintons’ decision to carefully develop and launch ‘Design Studio Online’.

Using Brintons’ DSO program is simple. After registering, designers will be able to browse through all of the design-led company’s inspirational collections, stock ranges and parts of its invaluable design archive that dates as far back as 1790.

Once a designer has selected a suitable carpet design for a given project, they can then use the interactive DSO software to easily re-colour the design to suit specific schemes. The program will then allow the designer to visualise the carpet in a computer-generated 3D commercial interior to assess its suitability.

Allowing interior designers to readily access and modify material from Brintons globally successful collections that include Timorous Beasties ‘First Weave’, Art Fusion, Katagami, Genesis, Hand Painted Sketches, Reverb and the new-for-2010 online only collection ‘Perceptions’ (available to view at www.brintons.net/commercial), is the latest step in Brintons’ innovative new online strategy.

Brintons’ Global Design Director, John Bain, said: “Developing a program like DSO allows the design community to get closer to us at Brintons, as well as our work that continues to give designers the inspiration and excitement they are often looking for in commercial interiors. We listen very carefully to our clients and this initiative is designed to give them access to a our design resource in the most direct way possible using modern technology.”

“This initiative marks the beginning of a fresh approach from Brintons and will take our design leadership to a whole new interactive level. I know the design community will immediately fall in love with the unrivalled access to our design material and the flexibility that affords.”
