Inscape announced that its Tisch system is the winner of the IIDEX Gold Innovation award in the Furniture Systems category. The award was presented during the IIDEX/NeoCon Canada show, September 24 – 25, 2009 in Toronto, Canada.
Tisch is a table-based system that promotes interaction and communication. This European designed product offers elegant simplicity and exceptional flexibility with applications ranging from desking and benching to conferencing. Tisch utilizes a small set of modular components that enable easy reconfiguration.

A comprehensive cable management system provides fast and easy access to power and data. All technology management components are UL approved. Accessory rails, organizer units, desk screens, filing trays and shelves help users to work more efficiently. Standard imperial measurements apply so conversion to metric measurements is not required.

Tisch can be used in a variety of applications, including a single table, collaborative team spaces, benching, training and meeting spaces. It can be teamed with Office Specialty filing and storage units and the Storwal storage based system to create additional planning solutions that are unique and take advantage of flexible storage options.

Work environments are continually evolving to meet the diverse needs of a growing multi-generational workforce and their various styles of work. “We are excited to offer an award-winning European designed product that has the flexibility to be easily used in multiple applications, enabling designers and facility managers to meet the varying needs of today’s diverse workforce,” says Sharad Mathur, Vice President of Marketing.

Tisch is being manufactured at Inscape’s production facility in Holland Landing, Canada with strict adherence to minimizing impact on the environment. A fully integrated component of the Inscape offering, Tisch shares consistent material and finish palette options to seamlessly blend with other Inscape products. With Tisch, modern European styling is available in the North American contract furniture market with a standard lead time of 6 weeks.
