The hothouse at the Botanical Garden in Aarhus has not only been refurbished but an extension including an 18 metre-high tropical hothouse has also been built. It was important to create a warm airflow in the new hothouse to minimise condensation. This called for a high heat output from the radiators.
"The challenge was to create as much output as possible on the limited space available while ensuring an even heat throughout the hothouse. The solution also needed to be solid and future-proof to meet the strategy of the utility company in terms of lowering the temperature set of the district heating. MEINERTZ bespoke convectors could reach the required output", says Rasmus Lautrup, consulting engineer on the project.
