The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 9.28% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 57.14% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia construction industry during July 2021 over June 2021.
Downer EDI posted 15 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a rise of 87.5% over the previous month, followed by The GPT Group with 13 jobs and a 23.53% drop. Reece with 11 IT jobs and Aurecon Group with 8 jobs, recorded a 57.14% growth and a 300% increase, respectively, while Arup Group recorded a 700% an increase with 8 job postings during July 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.42%, down by 16.04% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 20.9% share, a growth of 211.11% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 12.69% share, up 41.67% over June 2021.
