July 2021 has seen decrease of 1.23% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2021.

IT jobs accounted for a 3.65% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2021, registering an increase of 0.41% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 52.98% in July 2021, a 7.14% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 19.94% in July 2021, marking a 31.73% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 13.83% in July 2021, a 10.38% drop from June 2021.

Top five construction companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 45.11% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s construction industry during July 2021 over previous month.
Vinci posted 46 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered an increase of 27.78% over the previous month, followed by Ferrovial with 42 jobs and a 68% growth. Titan Cement International with 39 IT jobs and SYSTRA with 34 jobs, recorded a 3800% growth and a 48.48% drop, respectively, while STRABAG recorded a 540% an increase with 32 job postings during July 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s construction industry
The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 38.28% share in July 2021, a 24.86% decline over June 2021. France featured next with a 12.81% share, up 25.71% over the previous month. Germany recorded a 10.77% share, a growth of 13.85% compared with June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.52%, down by 6.16% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with an 18.49% share, a decline of 9.93% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 13.1% share, up 2.27% over June 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.89%, recording a month-on-month decline of 38.1%.
