India construction industry registered a 6.6% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 0.76% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.
Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 15.63% share in July 2021, recording decrease of 0.36% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in India construction industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India construction industry in July 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 70.16% in July 2021, a 97.73% growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 12.1% share, an increase of 66.67% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 7.26%, registering a 12.5% rise from June 2021.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 6.45%, down 11.11% over the previous month.
Top five construction companies in India IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 89.13% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India construction industry during July 2021 over June 2021.
Jones Lang LaSalle posted 25 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a drop of 10.71% over the previous month, followed by CBRE Group with 23 jobs and a 2200% growth. Assa Abloy with 17 IT jobs and Trelleborg with 12 jobs, recorded a 30.77% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Mott MacDonald Group recorded a 150% an increase with 10 job postings during July 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.1%, up by 67.39% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 32.26% share, a growth of 37.93% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 5.65% share, up 133.33% over June 2021.
