US-based company Carrier Global’s IT hiring declined 26.5% in June 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.
The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 32.27% in June 2021 when compared with May 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 9.08% share in the company’s total hiring activity in June 2021, and recorded a 0.03% down over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Carrier Global IT hiring in June 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Carrier Global, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 70.49% in June 2021, and a 39.44% drop over May 2021, while Computer and Information Research Scientists claimed a share of 11.48% in June 2021, and registered a 16.67% an increase. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 8.2% in June 2021, a 72.22% drop from May 2021.
Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Carrier Global
Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global consumer IT hiring activity in June 2021 with a 52.46% share, which marked a 48.39% drop over the previous month.
North America stood next with 40.98%, registering a 54.55% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 6.56% share and a 55.56% drop over May 2021.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s consumer industry IT hiring activity with a 39.34% share in June 2021, a 56.36% decline over May 2021. India featured next with a 29.51% share, down 10% over the previous month.China recorded a 16.39% share, decline of 70.59% compared with May 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Carrier Global IT hiring activity in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 50.82%, down by 58.67% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 44.26% share, a decline of 27.03% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 4.92% share, down 76.92% over May 2021.
