China construction industry registered an 8.0% decline in IT hiring activity in June 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 1.1% in June 2021 compared with May 2021.
Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.7% share in June 2021, recording decrease of 0.23% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in China construction industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China construction industry in June 2021.
1) Database and Network Administrators and Architects recorded a share of 43.97% in June 2021, a 3.77% drop over the previous month.
2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 41.38% share, an increase of 6.67% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 7.76%, registering an 18.18% decline from May 2021.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 4.31%, down 16.67% over the previous month.
Top five construction companies in China IT recruitment activity in June 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China construction industry during June 2021 over May 2021.
China Merchants Property Operation & Service posted 86 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a drop of 10.42% over the previous month, followed by Shanghai Lingang Holdings with 16 jobs and a 166.67% growth. China Resources Cement Holdings with 4 IT jobs and Assa Abloy with 2 jobs, recorded a 300% growth and a 71.43% decline, respectively, while China SCE Group recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 87.07%, down by 2.88% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 7.76% share, a decline of 30.77% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 4.31% share, up 25% over May 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.86%, recording a month-on-month an flat growth.
