China construction industry registered an 8.6% decline in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 1.11% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.
Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.77% share in July 2021, recording decrease of 0.27% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in China construction industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China construction industry in July 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 52.8% in July 2021, a 32% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 37.6% share, decline of 9.62% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 5.6%, registering a 22.22% decline from June 2021.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 4%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five construction companies in China IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 1.79% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China construction industry during July 2021 over June 2021.
China Merchants Property Operation & Service posted 97 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a rise of 11.49% over the previous month, followed by Shanghai Lingang Holdings with 6 jobs and a 64.71% drop. Jones Lang LaSalle with 4 IT jobs and China Resources Cement Holdings with 4 jobs, recorded a 100% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Assa Abloy recorded a 50% increase with 3 job postings during July 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 84%, up by 0.96% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 12% share, a growth of 66.67% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 4% share, flat growth over June 2021.
