China’s construction industry registered a 0.8% rise in IT hiring activity in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 2.02% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.33% share in August 2021, recording a decrease of 0.09% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in China’s construction industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s construction industry in August 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 48.62% in August 2021, registering a 78.48% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 39.66% share, an increase of 139.58% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 7.59%, registering a 144.44% rise from July 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 2.07%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five construction companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 121.09% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s construction industry during August 2021 over July 2021.
China Merchants Property Operation & Service posted 274 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered a rise of 132.2% over the previous month, followed by Manulife US Real Estate Investment Trust with 4 jobs and a flat growth. Jones Lang LaSalle with 3 IT jobs and Shanghai Lingang Holdings with 1 jobs, recorded a 25% decline and an 83.33% decrease, respectively, while Wang On Properties recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during August 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 86.21%, up by 104.92% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 10.69% share, registered an increase of 121.43% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 3.1% share, up 50% over July 2021.
