IT jobs accounted for a 4.27% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in August 2021, registering an increase of 0.42% over the last three-month average share.
Miscellaneous Computer Occupations Occupations leads by classification in August 2021
Miscellaneous Computer Occupations Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 33.33% in August 2021, a 50% rise over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 25.93% in August 2021, marking a flat month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 22.22% in August 2021, a flat growth from July 2021.
Database and Network Administrators and Architects registered a share of 14.81% in August 2021, a 100% rise over the previous month.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 466.67% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s construction industry during August 2021 over previous month.
NANA RegionalInc posted 5 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Tetra Tech with 3 jobs and a flat growth. KEO International Consultants Co with 3 IT jobs and KBR with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 200% rise, respectively, while Majid Al Futtaim Holding recorded a 50% increase with 3 job postings during August 2021.

Saudi Arabia commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 25.93% share in August 2021, a 16.67% increase over July 2021. United Arab Emirates featured next with a 22.22% share, up 20% over the previous month. Kuwait recorded an 18.52% share, a flat growth compared with July 2021.

Junior Level jobs held a share of 55.56%, up by 114.29% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 29.63% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
