Spain construction industry registered a 7.5% decline in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 6.45% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.
Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 13.07% share in July 2021, recording an increase of 2.5% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Spain construction industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 95.83% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain construction industry in July 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 33.33% in July 2021, a 46.67% drop over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 25% share, an increase of 200% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 20.83%, registering a 25% rise from June 2021.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 8.33%, up 100% over the previous month.
Top five construction companies in Spain IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 15.38% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain construction industry during July 2021 over June 2021.
IBI Group posted 15 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a drop of 28.57% over the previous month, followed by Jones Lang LaSalle with 4 jobs and a 300% growth. EFI with 1 IT jobs and CRH with 1 jobs, recorded a 50% drop and a 50% decline, respectively, while Arup Group recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during July 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 83.33%, down by 25.93% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with an 8.33% share, a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.33% share, flat growth over June 2021.
