US-based company Jones Lang LaSalle’s IT hiring declined 13.1% in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 2.45% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 5.31% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2021, and recorded a 0.44% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Jones Lang LaSalle IT hiring in August 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Jones Lang LaSalle, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 50.98% in August 2021, and a 38.82% drop over July 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 24.51% in August 2021, and registered a decline of 28.57%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 12.75% in August 2021, a 7.14% drop from July 2021.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Jones Lang LaSalle

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global construction IT hiring activity in August 2021 with a 43.14% share, which marked a 25.42% drop over the previous month.

North America stood next with 43.14%, registering a 38.89% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with an 11.76% share and a 25% drop over July 2021.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 1.96% and a month-on-month flat growth.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 40.2% share in August 2021, a 42.25% decline over July 2021. India featured next with a 24.51% share, flat growth over the previous month. Philippines recorded a 9.8% share, a decline of 58.33% compared with July 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Jones Lang LaSalle IT hiring activity in August 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.61%, down by 26.04% from July 2021. Entry Level positions with a 16.67% share, a decline of 26.09% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 13.73% share, down 51.72% over July 2021.
