July 2021 has seen decrease of 1.19% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2021.

IT jobs accounted for a 2.75% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2021, registering decrease of 0.18% over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2021

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 47.38% in July 2021, a 47.71% growth over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 24.32% in July 2021, marking a 4.92% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 14.88% in July 2021, a 51.06% growth from June 2021.

Top five construction companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 36.31% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s construction industry during July 2021 over previous month.

China Merchants Property Operation & Service posted 97 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a an increase of 11.49% over the previous month, followed by Jones Lang LaSalle with 58 jobs and an 18.37% growth. CBRE Group with 31 IT jobs and Assa Abloy with 28 jobs, recorded a 675% growth and a 55.56% increase, respectively, while Mott MacDonald Group recorded a 50% an increase with 15 job postings during July 2021.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s construction industry

Australia commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 28.09% share in July 2021, a 5.51% rise over June 2021. China featured next with a 26.21% share, up 5.04% over the previous month. India recorded a 26% share, a growth of 58.97% compared with June 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.76%, up by 7.54% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 20.13% share, a growth of 54.84% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 11.11% share, up 35.9% over June 2021.
