June 2022 has seen a decrease of 3.77% in the overall hiring activity when compared with May 2022.

IT jobs accounted for a 5.98% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in June 2022, registering an increase of 0.09% over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in June 2022

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 53.63% in June 2022, a 2.1% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 21.85% in June 2022, marking an 11.22% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 9.94% in June 2022, a 16.67% rise from May 2022.

Top five construction companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 4.01% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s construction industry during June 2022 over previous month.

Honeywell International posted 348 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered an increase of 16.78% over the previous month, followed by Jones Lang LaSalle with 96 jobs and a 41.18% growth. General Electric with 86 IT jobs and Eaton Corporation with 49 jobs, recorded a 21.82% drop and a 20.97% drop, respectively, while Caterpillar recorded a 27.87% decline with 44 job postings during June 2022.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s construction industry

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 68.3% share in June 2022, a 1.52% increase over May 2022. Australia featured next with an 11.44% share, down 3.33% over the previous month. Philippines recorded a 5.99% share, a growth of 68.89% compared with May 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 63.56%, up by 6.19% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 27.6% share, registered a decline of 4.63% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.75% share, down 5.13% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.08%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
