The industry’s overall hiring increased by 2.43% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.

Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.92% share in September 2022, recording an increase of 0.03% over the last three-month average share.

Top five construction companies in Australia’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 265% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s construction industry during September 2022 over August 2022.

National Storage REIT posted 22 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a rise of 340% over the previous month, followed by The GPT Group with 16 jobs and a flat growth. Hatch with 14 IT jobs and KBR with 11 jobs, recorded a 1300% growth and a 37.5% growth, respectively, while Ventia Services Group recorded an increase of 66.67% with 10 job postings during September 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 80.61%, up by 68.35% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 10.3% share, registered an increase of 13.33% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.88% share, down 23.53% over August 2022.
