The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 20.13% in December 2021 when compared with November 2021.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Caterpillar IT hiring in December 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Caterpillar, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 43.4% in December 2021, and a 48.89% drop over November 2021, while Computer Support Specialists claimed a share of 20.75% in December 2021, and registered growth of 57.14%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 18.87% in December 2021, a flat growth from November 2021.

North America emerged as the leading region in the global construction IT hiring activity in December 2021 with a 47.17% share, which marked a 50% drop over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 45.28%, registering a 4% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 3.77% share and a 100% rise over November 2021.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 1.89% and a month-on-month flat growth. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.89%, registering a 100% rise over the previous month.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 45.28% share in December 2021, a 52% decline over November 2021. India featured next with a 34.91% share, up 2.78% over the previous month. China recorded a 7.55% share, a decline of 27.27% compared with November 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Caterpillar IT hiring activity in December 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.49%, down by 16.22% from November 2021. Mid Level positions with a 35.85% share, a decline of 42.42% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 5.66% share, down 53.85% over November 2021.
