The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 3.94% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Caterpillar IT hiring in May 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Caterpillar, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 53.66% in May 2022, and a 29.03% drop over April 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 23.17% in May 2022, and registered growth of 72.73%. Computer Support Specialists held a share of 7.32% in May 2022, a 45.45% drop from April 2022.

North America emerged as the leading region in the global construction IT hiring activity in May 2022 with a 53.66% share, which marked a 7.32% rise over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 42.68%, registering a 25.53% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 2.44% share and a 66.67% drop over April 2022.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 1.22% and a month-on-month flat growth.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 52.44% share in May 2022, a 7.5% growth over April 2022. India featured next with a 35.37% share, down 29.27% over the previous month. China recorded a 7.32% share, an increase of 50% compared with April 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead Caterpillar IT hiring activity in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 52.44%, down by 10.42% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 36.59% share, a decline of 25% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 10.98% share, up 28.57% over April 2022.
